Dr. Md Zahidur Rahaman is a materials scientist with a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia. His research focuses on the growth, characterisation, and theoretical modelling of emerging functional materials, particularly lead-free metal-halide perovskites and related semiconductors for optoelectronic and sustainable energy applications. He has expertise in solution- and vapour-phase crystal growth, thin-film deposition, advanced structural and spectroscopic characterisation, and first-principles computational modelling using density functional theory. His work explores structure–property relationships, environmental stability, and functional properties of advanced materials, with broader interests in sustainable materials for renewable energy, energy conversion and storage, electrochemical technologies, and green hydrogen.
